Checkmate

Mar '23 - Apr '23

For centuries, the game of chess has captured hearts and minds throughout antiquity. Each game a unique battle between two forces each seeking victory and the capture of the opposing king. Each game won through a series of moves based on  intentionality and foresight. White vs. black. Good vs. bad. Light vs. dark.

In many ways, the game of chess symbolizes the story told throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. It is a story of a war being waged, not just for a divine throne, but for our very souls. This cosmic game of chess, beginning in the Garden of Eden, is not just for the heavenly realms, but is being played in the hear and now in the world we live in today. If the Gospel story is a chess board, there can be only one way this game ends, and it ends in Checkmate.
