What does it mean to “have faith”? Is faith something you feel or is it something you do? Is it about belief or is it about works? The Bible talks pretty openly about faith and has many stories of men and women who profess it boldly and radically. The way it is often portrayed or talked about today leaves many of us feeling like we could never measure up or be able to live out the same kind of faith as that of many of the “spiritual giants of the Bible”. In this 5-week series that will lead us through Easter, we will zero in on one of the most well-known disciples and friends of Jesus, who at the same time, seemed to regularly fall short of what you might expect from such a close and personal follower of Christ. Together, we are going to study the life of Peter and see how his example of faith leads us to better walk in the direction of Christ, even though, like Peter, we will mess up. This kind of faith won’t make us famous, but it will make us F.O.O.L.S.
